Its seasonal collection of traditional Italian Christmas products offers delicious indulgences and fantastic gift opportunities.

 

The Brief
To create media awareness, interest and buy-in of Carluccio’s 2006 Christmas product collection:
• Spotlight the collection’s key attributes: beautiful packaging, authentically Italian, quality and taste
• Secure feature placement and product mentions with target publications
• Educate around regional Italian holiday rituals and traditions

Huge competition to receive product mention in the media’s holiday gift guide pages.

The Solution
Be the first out of the block! Hook the media’s attention early to secure product placement in the gift guides:
• Host an informal, all-day “Christmas in July” event at the St Christopher’s Place caffé for target journalists to ensure long-lead deadlines are met. Spotlight traditional Italian holiday festivities, and feature Carluccio’s products as playing an integral part of these celebrations
• Execute intensive post-event media relations; facilitate short-lead media outreach and follow-up

 

The Results
• 137 press from 83 different publications attended the “Christmas in July” event, generating broad awareness amongst target media
• Press coverage included features and product placement across all media
• Demand for Christmas product was substantial, with several of the products entirely selling-out
